MINISTRIES TO THE HOMELESS

Wednesday Community Fellowship

Grace sponsors a community dinner every Wednesday evening at 6:00 p.m. in our Sanctuary. This is a time to serve and fellowship with our friends from the community — many of whom are homeless. Grace partners with area churches to provide food and volunteers for the dinner.

Additional volunteers are needed weekly from Grace to serve our friends and to sit at tables and have dinner with them, and to provide food for the meal on fourth and fifth Wednesdays.

WE! Winter Emergency Shelter

Grace is one of the participating churches for the WE! Program — winter emergency shelter for the homeless in Greensboro. Grace will provide overnight housing for up to 20 homeless women each night from Dec. 15 - Mar. 15th. We need women and men to volunteer (men to stay in a separate room to serve as security) each night of these 15 weeks, as well as volunteers to help with snacks, breakfasts, and even washing linens each week.
